This circular will focus on the Timely Certification of Water Storage Tanks. Here is some crucial information for MCSTs, Town Councils, and building owners to note: 

• The water storage tank is a crucial installation serving all building residents. 

• Management Corporation Strata Titles (MCSTs), Town Councils, and building owners must closely monitor timelines, maintain proper documentation, and promptly engage a Licensed Plumber for the annual inspection and certification of water tanks. 

• Failure to meet certification deadlines will result in enforcement actions, including fines up to $10,000 or imprisonment for up to 12 months under Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations. 

• PUB emphasises the seriousness of late tank certification, warning of potential water quality issues and announcing enhanced enforcement measures to ensure compliance.
