At PSC, we seek to keep you updated about the latest developments and changes to pump-related regulations, which aids our customers in making more informed decisions.
Recently, the PUB has highlighted several specific responsibilities that all Management Corporation Strata Titles (MCSTs), Town Councils and building owners have to take note of.
In this circular, we will focus on the maintenance of water service installations and their related parts and equipment.
Regular maintenance of water service installations and associated components is emphasised.
Adherence to original equipment manufacturers’ (OEMs) recommended schedules, with consultation from Qualified Persons (QP) when necessary.
Specific instructions include calibrating pilot operated solenoid valves to minimise pressure surges during water tank topping up, checking and maintaining electronic control panels and related equipment, and timely maintenance or replacement of pressure vessels based on OEM guidelines.
All maintenance activities should be documented with supporting documents and made available to PUB upon request.
Let us work together to ensure that your water pumps deliver safe drinking water reliably.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Pumps Service Centre Team
